Does the electronic signature have legal validity?
An electronic signature is an action performed on a document that allows the signer to be identified and ensures the integrity of the document. It has full legal validity, and you can use it to sign all types of documents, from employment and commercial contracts to informed consents and financial documents.
What is the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature?
The electronic signature has legal nature and aims to show the signer’s consent (for example, when we accept terms of service online or sign a contract).
A digital signature encrypts data for security. Only that person can access the data, for instance, to sign bank transactions. It’s like a key or a seal.

Yes. The electronic signature holds the same legal validity as a handwritten signature in most contexts, according to Law 59/2003 and the DAS Regulation. It is legally binding and can be used as evidence in legal proceedings.
Is it complicated to use?
The process is super simple and quick:
- Upload the document and add the recipients who need to sign.
- Indicate where they should sign and in what format.
- Check how the email will be received, if you need observers, and in what order you want the signatures.

How is the security and authenticity of the signature ensured?
